T2 RAID: Thunderbolt™ RAID - CalDigit T2

Thunderbolt™ RAID - CalDigit T2

The CalDigit T2 is an extremely fast dual drive, enabled with TWO Thunderbolt™ ports and a removable drive design, perfect for RAID 0, 1 and JBOD capability. The CalDigit T2 offers unique support for both 3.5" HDD drives and 2.5" SSD/HDD drives all in a sleek and easily upgradeable enclosure that is both reliable and portable.

BIG or FAST. SSD Ready!

CalDigit understands the importance for capacity and performance involving large project files required for our everyday users. With the CalDigit T2 and Thunderbolt™ technology, CalDigit is able to provide both all in one unit. The T2 can support up to 8TB of capacity. In the event of time sensitive situations, to get the fastest file transfer times, the CalDigit T2 offers the flexibility for that performance boost with the support of 2.5" SSD drives.

The CalDigit T2 drive module design provides a rigid base to secure two hot swappable 2.5" SSD or 3.5" hard drives. This allows for easy performance upgrades and replacements, as users can take advantage of even faster speeds, reaching up to 630MB/s. The T2's specially engineered design delivers effective heat dissipation, important for maintaining the long-term reliability of high performance drives, including SSDs in the field.

T2 SSD & Hard Disk

Flexible RAID Configuration

Mac OSX RAID 0, 1 and JBODCalDigit T2 lets you stripe drives - either solid-state or hard drives - in a RAID 0 array to increase performance and create a massive volume for tasks such as video or photo editing; or create a RAID 1 mirror to protect digital media assets from a drive failure. You also can use T2 in JBOD mode where each of the hard disk is accessed directly as an independent drive through Thunderbolt™ connection.

HD and 2K Editing

Whatever your creative application of choice, you can rest assured that CalDigit's new Thunderbolt storage will power through the most demanding of applications. It's finally time to say goodbye to dropped frames and concentrate on making great content. CalDigit understands today's modern tapeless workflow. Whether you're working in SD, HD, 3D, 2K, backing up uncompressed video files from broadcast quality cameras or DSLR's, compressing video for the web or mobile devices, batch importing large graphics files into your timeline, or playing back the final cut of an edit for your client, the T2 are the digital hubs for your creative content.

Professional Grade Design

The sleek and sexy design is as functional as it is good looking. A front side power button makes powering the unit on and off a breeze, and the all aluminum enclosure is eco friendly providing additional heat dissipation. Also included are four front side LED lights indicating the status of each individual drive, so you are always in the know.

Daisy Chain and Single Cable Thunderbolt™ Connectivity

CalDigit T2 connects to your Mac with a single Thunderbolt™ cable and provides a second Thunderbolt™ connector for daisy-chaining other Thunderbolt-enabled devices, such as the CalDigit T1 or other displays and capture devices, making it the perfect device for on set or in the edit suite.
